Arise My Soul

🌿 The Journey of Faith 🌿

The journey of faith is an intimate and deeply personal experience. ✨ It’s a sacred path where the spirit finds liberty and encounters the Divine God [YHWH] —where we meet YAH’s Presence, the Ruach Elohim (the Spirit of YAH). 🙏💫

I call this space The Soul’s Sacred Sanctuary—a spiritual haven much like the Holy of Holies, where the incense of prayer, worship, and meditation rises as a fragrant offering unto YAH. 🕊️🕯️

💖 But here’s the truth—this sanctuary cannot be fully explained by words alone. It’s not something you can experience through someone else’s description (even mine right now). 🌸 It’s a personal encounter—one that unfolds when you step into that sacred space within your soul. 🌿✨

::::My note from 11 July 2020!

[I sang this song when I hit the rock bottom in my physical and spiritual life.  My faith in YAH dissipated and I was questioning the existence of God.  My prayer life was non-existent.  I went far from YAH.  Just when I completely gave up I got on my knees and prayed a desperate prayer of help.  Deep within me, I know my soul has an owner and that is He who wonderfully and fearfully made me.  11 July 2020 as I ended the Shabbat which violated and did not keep, I sought YAH.  Telling my soul to arise]

 🌿 Arise My Soul 🌿

Arise Arise Arise (2x) (starting)

My soul arise, Hope in Adonai (2x)

Arise my soul, arise my soul, arise my soul

Arise my soul,

Arise

Hope in Adonai

 Arise, Arise, Arise, Arise, Arise

Arise my soul,

my soul, my soul, my soul (low)

Arise my soul

 Trust in Adonai

Hope in Adonai

When I reach the belly of the earth

And everything comes crushing in

To bury me

But from the belly of the earth I will trust

I will sing, I will seek

 Arise, arise my soul

Arise my soul, arise my soul

Arise

Trust in Adonai

 For He who formed you

Fearfully and wonderfully made you

Knitted you

Arise my soul

Arise My Soul

The phrase “Arise, my soul” is not found verbatim in the Bible; however, similar expressions appear in the Psalms, where the psalmist calls upon his soul to awaken and praise God. These passages reflect a deep desire to rouse one’s inner being to worship and glorify God wholeheartedly.

  • Psalm 57:8-11: “Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.”
  • Psalm 108:2-5: “Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise you, Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.”

Psalms 57: 8-9

Wake up my glory! Wake up, harp
and lyre!
I will stir the morning dawn
with praise. (1Chron 23:30)
I will praise You among the
peoples, O YAHWEH, I will sing to
You among the nations.

Psalms 108: 2-3

Awake, harp and lyre! I will awake
early;
I will thank You, O YAHWEH,
among the peoples; and I will sing to
You among the nations.

Trust in Adonai

Hope in Adonai

Belly of the Earth

Jonah was in the belly of the fish…and Psalms 23:4 says “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me“. This verse conveys profound trust in God’s presence and protection, even amidst life’s darkest and most perilous moments.

“Valley of the shadow of death”: This phrase metaphorically represents experiences of deep darkness, danger, or severe trials. The Hebrew term “salmawet” can mean “deep darkness” or “shadow of death,” indicating situations of extreme peril or despair.

So belly of the earth is like Jonah being in the belly of the fish. It is the ‘valley of shadow of death experiences and despair.

I will Sing

I will Seek

Psalms 139: 13-14

This ancient sacred text reflects on God’s intimate involvement in our creation: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

Key Insights:

  • “You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb”: This emphasizes God’s active role in forming us, highlighting the intricate and purposeful design of our physical and spiritual selves.
  • “I am fearfully and wonderfully made”: The term “fearfully” conveys a sense of awe and reverence, indicating that our creation is an awe-inspiring act of God. “Wonderfully” suggests that we are uniquely and marvelously crafted, distinct from all other creations.

These verses inspire gratitude and recognition of our unique design, encouraging us to acknowledge the divine craftsmanship inherent in our being.

Shalom Beloveds!
